So when I go there and manually double click them the library manager pops up but says No action was performed, the corresponding VST sounds are already registered. What's going on here, why does it not find the default vstsound files? I think they are supposed to be in C:\ProgramData\Steinberg\Content\HALion\VST Sound. I don not see Halion sonic 3 in programs and features I do have Halion Sonic SE which came with cubase 9.5 Pro that I see. Often, presets refer to other files, such as samples, macro pages, and Lua scripts. When working with HALion, all presets are managed by the MediaBay. thanks Alan-Russell May 14, 2018, 5:02pm 4. Libraries are built as VST Sound container files that contain all the components that make up your instrument, such as presets, samples, macro pages, MIDI modules, scripts, and sub presets. I also downloaded a free guitar harmonics Halion soundbank and that installed correctly and showed up in both the library manager and in Halion itself. Just uninstall Halion Sonic 3 by going to Programs and Features, found in Window’s Control Panel. It's like the library manager does not understand that it is installed. I checked the Library manager and I have no soundbanks for Halion installed or registered whatsoever. Halion itself installs fine, but when I open it it does not have any soundbanks. I downloaded and installed Halion Sonic SE3.

Hmmmmm.Ok, so this is strange and I don't get why. Yes, something that simple! I can do it in Cubase 10 Pro and every previous Cubase version but not in the 10.5 or 11 updates. Now the only other problem I have (that even Steinberg’s Tech Support can’t solve) is why I can NOT double click to change a track name in Cubase Pro 11. Thank you both again…so VERY MUCH! You have improved my experience with the huge learning curve of this program!!! I believe I must have only downloaded from Halion Sonic SE 3 “Resources” under the “VST Instruments & Plugins” section in the Download Assistant.

Thank you so very much for taking your time to detail out this information (with indented bullets and all…impressive !!). Now all appears to be well when I play all sounds.

When I check the details in Stienberg Library Manager it shows 4. HALion Sonic 7: Accédez rapidement et facilement à toutes les documentations nécessaires sur steinberg.help. I tried reloading both VST instruments with the extensive 29 GB library again from Steinberg’s Download Assistant but it did not evidently load those missing patches from the HS SE Pro library. vstsound files to load back onto my system. I guess I need to know where I can find those particular. Of course they all play in both the paid and SE version but for some reason “HS SE Pro” sounds say they are missing when I try to play them in either HALion Sonic 3 plugin. “HS SE Artist”, “HS SE Basic”, “HS SE Basic”, and “HS SE Pro”.

I believe these sound libraries came with the SE version. I have both versions of HALion Sonic 3, the paid version and SE 3 version.
